In 2008, China overtook the United States in the number of scientific publications in the domain of nanotechnology for the first time. (...) Nanolane had a duty to be commercially present on this global scene. In order to do this however, a trustworthy partner with full knowledge of Chinese ways and customs and who shared our values of innovation and conquest had to be found. Therefore, quite naturally, éolane Technology was thought of as the ideal solution.

EOLANE Journal - n°30 - May 2010 22-04-2011

THE LFCM - Le laboratoire de Fonctionnalisation et Chimie pour les Micro-systèmes (Microsystem behaviour and chemistry Laboratory, CEA – LETI, Grenoble), run by Dr Françoise Vinet, has recently acquired a SARFUS 3D system for their studies on grafting molecular probes and active molecules in microsystems.

First underwater picture with SARFUS! SARFUS 3D, the observation and measurement system for nanometric-sized objects which is marketed by NANOLANE, enables measuring the thickness of nanometric samples on "standard" Surfs in the open air. In 2007, NANOLANE took up the challenge of developing the same product underwater, with the aim of measuring a completely submerged sample, and more generally in the natural environment of such samples.

EOLANE Journal - n°28 - September 2009 22-04-2011

The clean room at Nanolane used to be in a rented building about a hundred metres from the main building. For reasons of practicality, and also economy, moving this equipment back was one of our 2009 objectives.

EOLANE Journal - n°27 - May 2009 22-04-2011

A recent article by a team of researchers at Bordeaux University which was published in the "American Chemical Society" scientific journal, gave prominence to the visualisation and measurement by Sarfus of a 0.3nm thick graphene sheet. (...) Nanolane has joined the TC229 international technical committees of the ISO Nanotechnology commission, as French representative. (...)

EOLANE Journal - n°24 - May 2008 30-05-2008

"[...]So, nanoelectronics are no longer a myth. Out of 3.8 billion Euros public money invested worldwide in nanotechnological research in 2005, one third was for nanoelectronics. On a private level, research is increasing: specialists forecast that in ten year's time, a company like General Electric will allot more than 80% of their R&D efforts to this field. The train is heading forwards, non-one knows when it will stop, and Eolane is on the bandwagon..[...]"

"[...]It is therefore quite naturally that Eolane joined Atlantic Biothérapie. The group thus provides their new partners with its know-how in professional electronics for the medical sector. The link is even stronger with NANOLANE whose presence in the cluster means identifying the requirements of the various players in this sector, and suggesting innovative solutions for imaging on a nanometric scale.[...]"

EOLANE Journal - n°22 - September 2007 13-09-2007

"[...] Nanolane is especially active in the "Measurement, tests and methods" work-group, steered at a national French level by the Laboratoire Nationale de M?trologie et d?Essais (LNE). By joining in a proactive way, Nanolane hopes both to contribute to the needs for clarity and references in nanometrology, and,to develop their products conform with future ISO and CEN standards.[...]"

EOLANE Journal - n°21 - May 2007 13-09-2007

"[...] In the framework of its 'Total Quality' policy, NANOLANE has launched a program aimed at improving the measurements made with SARFUS 3D at nanoscale. All Calibration Standards provided by NANOLANE are now traceable to the German Institute of metrology (PTB) and meet EN ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.[...]"

EOLANE Journal - n°20 - January 2007 13-09-2007

"[...] The greatest surprise is that most of these products concern health and well-being: cosmetics, body care, suncream, sports and clothing. Thus we already use, often unknowingly, products which come from nanotechnological research.[...]"

EOLANE Journal - n°19 - September 2006 15-09-2006

"[...] traditional optical microscopes, with which dust or bacteria can be seen, do not have enough resolution for such observations. These days this problem can be "avoided" in an original way by using a sample carrier support (called Surf?) which looks like a contrast amplifier. This principle, discovered in 2001, is currently used exclusively by Nanolane. For the first time, it is possible, with an optical microscope, to observe objects and films of nanometric dimensions. [...]"

EOLANE Journal - n°18 - May 2006 15-05-2006

"[...] The vocation of NANOLANE is to bring new solutions to the world of nanotechnology, for the characterization of nanometric objects (carbon nanotubes, strands of ADN, etc.), and the measurement of the thickness of ultra-thin film (surface treatments, bio sensors, etc.). The NANOLANE solutions are based on innovative optical imagery technology, SARFUS, which increases the real sensitivity of an optical microscope by a factor of 100. The phenomenon is attained thanks to a special sample-carrier which has been developed and made by NANOLANE. Apart from the ease of implementation, SARFUS gives rise to considerable time savings for studying the nanoworld. [...]"

EOLANE Journal - n°17 - January 2006 15-01-2006

"[...] Our first initiative was the recent buy-out of assets with a small team in LE MANS. They have a succession of know-how in nanotechnology, more exactly in the visualization and measurement of nanometric dimensioned objects (a millionth of a millimetre). This know-how is protected by patents. Important countries, one could even say continents, are keeping a close watch on everything that is happening in this sector. [...]"
